Terms of Use

Shelf by JC is a place where people who build with AI show their work and find each other. It is operated by Jacklyn Collins. By creating an account or submitting a listing you agree to these terms. If you subscribe to Shelf by JC Pro, the Pro terms below also apply.
Who can use Shelf by JC You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. If we learn that someone younger has an account, we may delete it. You must be 18 or older to subscribe to Pro.
You keep ownership of your work Creators retain ownership of their apps, their code, and the material they submit. Nothing here transfers ownership or intellectual property rights. By submitting a listing you give Shelf by JC a limited, revocable, non exclusive licence to display the public profile details, listing copy, and cover images you submit, for the purpose of showing your listing and shelf on the service. That licence ends for content you remove, apart from records described in the Privacy Notice. You confirm that you own or have permission to use everything you submit, including app names, descriptions, links, cover images, and brand names.
Shelf by JC materials The original Shelf by JC website copy, branding, graphics, visual assets, and site materials created for the service are owned by Jacklyn Collins or used with permission. They may not be reproduced, republished, or presented as someone else's work without permission, except where the law permits.
Creator content Creators retain ownership of the apps, code, names, descriptions, cover images, and other content they submit. By submitting content, a creator gives Shelf by JC a limited, revocable permission to display and promote that content as part of the listing and creator shelf while it remains on the service. Shelf by JC does not obtain ownership of the creator's app or source code.
Copyright and ownership concerns If you believe that content on Shelf by JC copies or infringes work you own, email support@jacklyncollins.com with the page address, a description of the work, an explanation of the concern, and a way to contact you. Shelf by JC may temporarily hide content while the concern is reviewed. Shelf by JC does not claim ownership of creator submitted content, third party trademarks, external apps, or general ideas and product features.
What the service does not do Shelf by JC does not host or copy source code, does not run your app, and does not automatically clone or remix apps. Listing an app does not give visitors permission to reproduce it. A remix request is only a permission request. The owner may accept, decline, add a note, or optionally share a public starting point link. Any licence or permission must come from the owner, in the owner's own words.
External apps Live apps are operated by their creators on external services. Their availability, security, terms, and privacy practices are the creator's responsibility, not ours. An external app may change, break, or go offline at any time.
What is not allowed Do not use Shelf by JC to:
- impersonate another person, brand, or creator, or claim work you did not make
- submit unlawful content, or content that infringes someone else's rights
- submit malicious, deceptive, or harmful links, including phishing and malware
- post misleading listings, false descriptions, or links that do not match the listing
- harass, abuse, or threaten other people
- attempt to bypass review, permissions, moderation, or rate limits
- scrape, resell, or bulk copy other creators' listings
Review and removal Listings are reviewed before they become public. We may review, hide, reject, or remove a listing, and may suspend an account, to protect the service and the people using it. Creators can also withdraw, unpublish, remove, or permanently delete their own listings at any time.
Changes to the service Shelf by JC is run by one person. Features may change or be removed, and the service may be interrupted. The free plan is free. Optional paid features are described in the Pro terms below. The Founding Creator card is research only and does not subscribe you to anything.
As is, and limits of responsibility Shelf by JC is provided "as is", without promises that it will always be available or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, our responsibility for any problem with the service is limited to the amount you paid us for Shelf by JC Pro in the 12 months before the problem.
Governing law These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada.

Shelf by JC Pro terms
Shelf by JC Pro is an optional paid plan. Everything in the free plan stays free. These Pro terms are part of the Terms of Use above.
What Pro includes. The Pricing page lists what Pro includes today: full analytics, your own banner and colors, unlisted apps, the embed widget and badge, a Pro badge, and a private Pro group. We may add to Pro over time. If we remove a main Pro feature, we'll tell you by email or in the app, and you can cancel. If we end Pro altogether, we'll refund the unused part of any period you've paid for.
Price and billing. Pro costs $12 per month or $120 per year, in US dollars. You choose monthly or annual when you subscribe, and you can switch later. Your payment is handled by Stripe, a payment company, on Stripe's own secure page. Shelf by JC never sees or stores your card number. No sales tax is added at this time. If that changes, we'll show any tax before you pay.
Who can subscribe. You must be 18 or older to subscribe to Pro.
Automatic renewal. Pro renews automatically at the end of each month or year until you cancel. We'll charge the card you used at the same price, unless we've told you about a change (see "Price changes").
Cancel anytime. You can cancel in your settings: open "Your plan" and choose "Cancel Pro". When you cancel, you keep Pro until the end of the period you've already paid for, and you won't be charged again.
14-day money-back guarantee. If you're not happy with Pro, or you forgot to cancel before a renewal, email support@jacklyncollins.com within 14 days of the charge, and we'll refund it in full. After 14 days, payments aren't refunded, but you can cancel at any time to stop future payments.
Founding codes. If you received a founding-creator code, the discount applies as described when you got it. Codes have limits and can expire.
If a payment fails. If your card is declined at renewal, Stripe tries again over about three weeks. You keep Pro during that time, and a message on your dashboard tells you to update your card. If the payment still doesn't go through, your subscription ends and your account returns to the free plan.
When Pro ends. If your subscription ends for any reason, your shelf, apps and followers stay. Pro features stop working: your banner, theme color, pinned app and order, full analytics, and the Pro badge. Your banner, color, pinned app and order settings are saved, and they come back if you subscribe again. Your embed widget stops showing your apps and shows only a small link to your shelf. Apps that are already unlisted stay unlisted and keep working for anyone with the link, but you can't unlist any more apps until you subscribe again.
Price changes. If we change the price, it won't apply to your current subscription until we've given you at least 30 days' notice, by email or in the app. You can cancel before it takes effect.
Embeds. If you put your shelf on your own website, you're responsible for where you put it. The embed shows only your public apps. We may suspend an account that is misusing Shelf by JC, and that also switches off its embed.
The private Pro group. Pro includes an invitation to a private Facebook group where Pro creators can share ideas and feedback. You need a Facebook account to join, and Facebook's own terms apply there. We read what's shared, but we don't promise to build any particular idea.
